Child Welfare

Brentwood Baseball Club aims to provide a safe and supportive environment for children of all abilities to have fun playing baseball.

The club are in the process of appointing a new dedicated Child Welfare Officer. The interim officer is Julie Keegan.

Our Child Welfare Officer is responsible for ensuring all club officers, coaches and volunteers adhere to the Club Welfare and Child Protection and Safety policies, including the club's video and photographic policy for children.

Our Child Welfare Officer acts as the liason between parents/guardians and the club in case of any incident involving a possible breach of club Child Welfare or Safety policies. The Child Welfare Officer is responsible for reporting any such incidents that require intervention or support of the BSUK Welfare Officer.

Our Child Welfare Officer is also responsible for ensuring that all team managers and coaches are aware of the club's procedures in the event of an accident at the home ground and have the necessary emergency numbers and route to the nearest hospital casualty department.
